Strawberry Matcha Latte


Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon organic ceremonial grade matcha powder

  • 3 tablespoons filtered water, hot

  • 1 teaspoon organic raw honey

  • Milk of choice

  • 5 organic strawberries, rinsed and chopped

  • 3 tablespoons coconut sugar

  • 3 tablespoons filtered water

  • 3 tablespoons non-dairy heavy cream


Directions

To Make the Strawberry Syrup and Foam:

In a small saucepan, set over medium heat, add the strawberries, sugar, and water. Cook until the strawberries have softened. Strain the strawberries through a fine mesh strainer and keep the syrup. Allow to cool.

Next, add the heavy cream to the strawberry syrup. Whip with a mini whisker until light and fluffy (about 30 seconds or so). A very soft whip makes it pourable.

To Make the Iced Matcha Latte:

Heat the water in a tea kettle. Add the matcha to a small bowl and pour in the hot water. Whisk vigorously until it’s dissolved. Lastly, mix in the honey.

Fill a glass with ice. Pour in your milk of choice, add the matcha and top with the strawberry foam.
