Grounding Vetiver Foot Rub

A calming evening ritual to release the day and support restful sleep.

Vetiver is a favorite oil for winding down—it’s earthy, grounding, and deeply supportive to the nervous system. This foot rub recipe is a beautiful way to anchor your evening, especially when paired with slow breathwork, herbal tea, or 15 minutes with your legs up against the wall.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons carrier oil (jojoba, sweet almond, or fractionated coconut oil)

  • 3–4 drops vetiver essential oil

  • (Optional) 2 drops lavender essential oil for added relaxation

  • Small glass jar or bottle for storage

How to Make:

  1. In a small glass container, combine the carrier oil and essential oils.

  2. Stir or shake gently to blend.

  3. Store in a cool, dark place.

How to Use:

At bedtime, massage a small amount into the soles of the feet using slow, circular motions. Take a few deep breaths as the grounding scent of vetiver helps settle the body and calm the mind.
